2023 SAFEBUILD: Mental Health and Wellness Best Practices

BTEA hosted its 2023 SAFEBUILD national industry forum on Thursday, June 22, 2023. The interactive event focused on mental health and wellness best practices and assembled the industry’s top safety experts to drive the conversation. BTEA also honored 2023’s leaders in construction safety for outstanding performance in Safety Innovation, Best Practices & Safety Culture, Project Safety, and Hardhat Safety. SAFEBUILD 2023 was a successful event in building a new safety culture.

2022 Transformative Projects

BTEA New York hosted its 2022 Transformative Projects awards reception on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. Hundreds of professionals gathered for a night of celebration and good company as the industry recognized projects that are reinvigorating and reimagining New York City.

2022 SAFEBUILD: Navigating a New Dynamic

Wednesday, April 27, 2022 – Thursday, April 28, 2022 | 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

This year’s Annual 2022 SAFEBUILD forum was held on a hybrid format. Part one of the program, BTEA New York held is Annual Safety Awards at Club 101 where over 100 attendees across the building trades industry joined together to celebrate the industry’s safety leaders. The second part of the program will be held virtually on Thursday, April 28 from 8:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Following the success of the previous year, the Association brings in fresh perspectives, including a dynamic session in partnership with BTEA Northeast, to help safety professionals and your business Navigate a New Dynamic following the nation’s continued recovery efforts from the pandemic.

Annual Safety Awards

The program took place on Wednesday, April 27 from 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. at Club 101, located at 101 Park Avenue in New York City, with an industry awards celebration of safety leaders. BTEA New York’s Construction Safety Committee recognized the outstanding safety and performance of its member in construction.

Infrastructure NOW!

Tuesday, December 14, 2021 | 8:30 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. | Virtual

On December 14, BTEA New York hosted an important webinar entitled Infrastructure NOW!, the first in the Association’s Business Builder Breakfast Series. Industry professionals from the private and public sector joined to discuss the $1 trillion dollar infrastructure bill that passed in Washington and its impact on New York State and New York City capital budgets. Panelists provided an in-depth analysis of the bill, identified what funding will be at play, what companies should think about and how MWBEs should prepare for the influx of projects.

Building Trades Employers’’ Association (BTEA) and New York City School Construction Authority (NYC SCA) hosted a virtual event on Thursday, June 17, where attendees had the opportunity to meet NYC SCA’s new President and CEO, Nina Kubota, learn about the new provisions in the FY 2021-2025 SCA PLA and hear first-hand about the SCA’s Five Year Capital Plan 2021-2024, worth more than $19 billion!

SafeBuild

Thursday, April 29, 2021 | 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

On Thursday, April 29, over 500 people from across the construction industry registered to come together for the SafeBuild 2021 Industry Forum. This year’s Forum offered employees from both the public and private sector the opportunity to learn about how to manage weather on the job and dynamic safety practices. Attendees were able to connect with a variety of firms and agencies to find work and learn about the latest tools available for use in the industry.
